Membership Application  Farmers Electric makes it easy to get electrical service.  Just "click" and "print" the attached form and return it to the cooperative office. Farmers Electric Cooperative does require a meter deposit which consists of the highest bill in the last 12 months.  This can be avoided, however, if you are able to get your current electric provider to fax us a 12 month credit reference showing no more than one late payment in the last 12 months. Our fax number is 641-343-7187. This meter deposit will be returned to you once we receive 12 consecutive on-time payments or if you should move.  The service will not be put in your name until the credit reference has been received or the meter deposit has been paid in full.  Please call us with any questions at1-800-397-4821.  

Moving Soon?  If there is a move in your future, you are responsible for the electric usage until the cooperative is contacted and arrangements have been made to get the electric service out of your name. Please provide us with a forwarding address so we can send you the final bill.  We ask that you keep a current address on file to assure that we may retire your capital credits (deferred patronage dividends) to you in future years.
